I think they're technically betrothed in the comic. But if they were to unite in contempt and gradually find something they like in each other besides just snarking on the boring nobles (though one of them HAS to pay attention in case there's something important in the blather), they could learn to like one another at least. Which is not a bad foundation for an arranged marriage
