Originally it was an entry for a contest, but I didn't manage to finish it before the deadline.
The creature is a shirgoon. (original species by ~Nooma-aka-Zero.DA.com and ~Araivis-Edelveys.DA.com)
However, this guy was hit by a car and nearly died. The guy that hit him was a clumsy scientist, that always got into a lot of trouble. He took the creature to his laboratory and made it a mechanical body. And that's how the first mechanical shirgoon was created. However, he is not a complete machine, he is still 25-30% organic creature. So the whole mechanic-thing is like a shell in which is hidden the flesh. I hope that makes sense DX I suck at explaining things DX
And yea, I know that he is not too similar to a shirgoon, but blame hic creator for that. He sucked at biology.)
As for the picture itself- it's a post-apocalyptic future. Most of the plants and animals are either dead or artificial. (lol yeesss, I was reading "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" while working on this picture ;DDD)
So, our little mechanical shirgoon found few moths ago and since than he is taking care of it. Perhaps, the last flower on the planet...
