The reason why Shielders exist is because while Psycho Mantis troops have access to equipment that function similarly to the Shielder “arms”, they thought themselves so high and mighty that they shouldn’t use such equipment, thus the Shielders were created. Guardians are capable of projecting 3 shields at once, usually shielding themselves and shielding 2 others. Rangers are basically Guards but for space combat.
