Today (29 November) so happens to be the fifth anniversary of our relationship. Now normally, it's traditionally observed that I would get my partner something involving wood, but I'm not really the traditional sort of gal, so instead I thought of the perfect gift that WOOD make her happy, and in that spirit of horrible puns, I chose to invoke one of our favorite fictional couples.
I know Jaida loves the romance of Utena and Anthy, but RWBY Volume 9 was something we both watched together each Sunday that it came out, getting up to settle in and see what new adventures the gang would get to in the Ever After. So seeing Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long actually have the proper validation of their feelings for one another after the clumsy attempt to make them an item in previous Volumes was super-sweet, and I knew I had to do something about it.
We had dressed up in kigurumi as them before, so I made sure to do the romantic thing every partner has wanted to do, and drugged my girlfriend's drink the night before so Jaida would be too deep in sleep to not wake up as I put her into that kigurumi she loves. So when my beautiful raven-haired Faunus finally awoke after a brief burst of smelling salts, she saw her blonde busty badass of a girlfriend nearby, purple eyes fixed on her, a permanent plastic smile beneath those golden locks.
I used my better strength to easily scoop up "Blake" and carry her into the main room where I set up a green screen background with a camera, to replicate the scene where the lovers we were dressed as finally kissed, and put "Bumblb - Part II", the music that played during that wonderful moment. We danced slowly, arm in arm, locked together in the warm comfortable clothing on our cosplays.
Though I do make a habit of stuffing my partner in kigurumi for major occasions, I at least make it worthwhile, and we spent the rest of the day with me showering my darling Jaida in whatever that fae heart desired~<3
