Funny you chose that theme. I periodically fill a bowl of corn for the deer to visit. During the summer, some deer would fidget and shake due to the bugs the seem to attract on them.
I guess that is a reason why a variety of ticks are called "deer ticks".

Yes, the drawing is well constructed. If the deer could speak, I am sure I would blush.
The ticks were abundant this year. It would be guaranteed if I walk out in the field for solar-panel maintenance, weeding, mowing, or mixing the mulch, I would get at least one tick on my leg to pick off. I am grateful they had not caused me harm.
I have seen lots of gnat-swarms in the air this year, too. The picture reminds me of such bugs. You step out of the swarm, you are free of them. If we can tell the deer above that he can take one large step to the right to be "free" of them- to let my imagination go wild.
