Disclaimer
First, this I cannot call this an ACTUAL "Don Karnage" fursuit since I am not affiliated with Disney and as such do not claim any rights to their characters. This is simply a one-time fan commission. For this reason the Character fursuit I will be creating shall be known here as "Diesel-Punk Air Pirate Wolf". And NO, I'm not selling the fursuit from the Disney Theme Parks. This will be a hand made, custom fitted fursuit, made from all new material.
Examples of previous fursuit projects:
- Jak Arktik was created for less than $70 in just days of work. Fur from 4 new polar bear plushies was used to create a head, Tail, Glove and Feet paws. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3062293/
- Wes and Junior were both created by me, for less than $60 or so in a very short period of time. Wes (puppet) was made from Wal-Mart Remnants and scraps. Junior (Suit) was made from various craft and upholstery foams and plastic sculpts. They both have working LED arrays. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4738014/
- More examples of my work can be found at my website:
http://fluffyjackal.com
Included:
- Fursuit Head built to original Disney Afternoon ref sheet specs
Sturdy but flexible interior made from plastic mesh and sculpted foam with ventilation through mouth and around eyes/ears.
Sculpted teeth and nose and hand painted eyes on a anit-pill fleece muzzle for an extra toony look.
Soft long-pile fur from Sy Fabrics for a villainously cuddly head and ears.
- Fursuit Tail is easily belted on and fed through the rear of the costume.
Made from soft long pile Sy Fabrics fur.
- Fursuit Paw Gloves slip on over the hands, ending between wrist and elbow length under the sleeves of the uniform.
The gloves are made from soft Sy Fabrics long pile fur and anti-pill fleece (palms) and are padded with foam for a toony look.
3 fingers and a thumb with optional sculpted claws on the tips of each (He has short black claws by default).
- Captain's Uniform allows for the neck fur of the head to be neatly tucked into the collar.
It can be padded to give the appearance of Karnage's build, regardless of wearer's weight proportions.
It's tailored to the original Disney Afternoon ref. Golden trim on the cuffs and collar, and 12 ornamental golden buttons.
Decorative Red "Liner" appears only where the coat is unbuttoned and the sleeves are rolled back and not throughout the interior of the coat. Coat tails tailored for the wearer's height.
Red Sash is attached to coat.
Coat's sword loop will be meant to hold a light plastic/costume sword, a metal/heavy sword is NOT advised and might wear and tear the costume.
- Shipping/Tax
Shipping and Sales Tax within the 48 continental United States is included in the auction price.
Suggested, but NOT Included:
- Under Armor
A black hooded spandex long-sleeved shirt is suggested, or a full bodysuit with an opening for the face. This will reduce odor and moisture damage to the costume and make it more comfortable to wear.
- Pants and Boots
To be complete, the costume needs Boots and loose-fitting white Pants with belt loops. These should be purchased by the costume's wearer based on their personal preferences, and are NOT the responsibility of the costume designer to provide or create.
- Sword/Weapons
Don Karnage usually carries a sword, which would complete the costume. A metallic PLASTIC light weight sword is suggested for safety reasons and since the costume is not designed to support the weight of a real sword. Such costume weaponry is NOT provided by the costume designer.
Required:
- Payment full in advance
See my policy for commissions over $20: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2466301/
- Duct tape dummy
If you want the suit made to a custom fit, I'll require you to send me a duct tape dummy of the wearer's body, Otherwise I will make it to fit my own body's specifications (Med-Large head, 2XL+ Upper body, 5.5-6.ft hight).
- Patience
The costume will be guaranteed to be delivered in time for Megaplex 2012 at the latest, but will likely be completed and shipped a few short months after the item is payed for buy the buyer. See my due date policy in the link above.
I NEED FEEDBACK!! (please? ^__^ )
Let me know if you're interested yourself, or what your opinion is on this project's concept.
Do you think others would be interested? If you know anyone who might be interested personally, pass them a link to this journal! I'll be deciding on weather or not to auction off this custom project based on positive responses.
Thanks for your input! ^__^

i probably would never actually go out in public. i'm not really into that.
plus my parents know i'm a furry and they don't mind as long as i don't do any fursuiting (which i'm ok with).
but i'd still love to have a suit like this. i'd commission it if i had the money. how much would it be?

hmm... tempting.
would be offering to make just the fursuit itself or only in combination with his clothing?
I ask for the reason that Im having someone make his coat already (an ongoing commission for a year already) but more realistic. The seamstress is using a pattern from a Napoleonic Spanish Naval Officer's uniform for the base.
I'm definitely interested though send me a PM about pricing specifics.
