I have this charger, and use NiMH batteries exclusively. I don't care what brand of battery, as long as the batteries have good amperage. (And the Rayovac Hybrids are nothing more than ordinary NiMH batteries that are formulated to retain their charge like alkalines, so other than mixing of brands, NiMH batteries in NiMH charger, so I wouldn't call it being in the 'wrong" charger.)

(Ironicly, I have yet to buy some 2500mAH NiMHs yet- My strongest are 2300, though I've seen 3000s listed.... The majority of my NiMHs are 2000mAH, mostly Rayovac because they're cheaper at the local Target.)

the 'hybrids' came with this charger... they arent in it because they hold a charge a -lot- longer..

anyway... i say "wrong" in a humorus sense (cos of the different brands)... thats the part that made me chuckle... the -real- irony is that this charger works better than the energizer branded charger (that i cant seem to find anymore)...

as a side note; the hybrids i have are 2100 and ironically tend to last longer in the digicam (that took this pic) than the 2500 energizers do...

i usually use the energizers in the cd player since they are better for hi-drain 'right now' applications... but suck when left sitting for any length of time... they can loose most of their oomph in one night O.o ...

i plan to eventually get a smart charger.. something with trickle charge and various test and recondition functions.. and that doesnt need to charge in pairs...

I have about 8 of those 2500's from Energizer. Duracell has some 2650's. I had some 1800's from Energizer but I threw them away, they seemed to die exceedingly fast and they were used in a clock..
