Prince of Egypt - All I Ever Wanted - *Scraps Cover*
EDIT - CHECK OUT THE BETTER VERSION HERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15000326
Okay, so here's a better take. I did a bit of pitch correction on this one, as well as got a couple tips on how to make a better reverb/blend with the backtracking. I still think my voice sounds a bit weak on the higher notes, but that gives me something to work on for future projects.
Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy this one! It's from one of my all-time favorite animated musicals: The Prince of Egypt. The movie and music are copyright to DreamWorks, and this song was originally sung by the talented Amick Byram. It tells the part in the story right after Moses first learns that he was not born into royalty, but adopted into the Egyptian palace, born of a Jew, and hence descendant from slaves.

I've always loved the soundtrack (when I got my hands on it, I listened to it many times a day)! This is one of the better works done by HANS ZIMMER. ^^
Your voice is a very welcome change to the original. Though the first minute is partially too soft (compared to Amick Byram), you really gain some strenght in 1:20 and perform a very good ending.
But what the heck, why is there any need to "compare" this with the original?? There is no need. This here is YOUR interpretation of it and I can only say you've done a fine job (I can't sing that well... I'd love to though ^^")!
Some suggestions for the future:
1) The "hall effect" in this version is really disturbing. Maybe, you wanted to seperate your voice from the score but maybe you should try to lower the intensity of the effect in the future. I'm highly confident that it'd sound much better!!
2) Try the track "The Plagues" (Track 12, I guess) from this same soundtrack. It's ideal to practise a "strong voice" - without getting too high at the same time. I'd very much like to hear you sing this track. ^^"
Especially the phrase "Let my people go!" is intense and powerful!
Anyway, well done!

Oh I've always LOVED the music in this film!! Your voice suits this song so well! I agree with Reptile above, a little less reverb would leave this piece a bit more powerful.
I'll be honest, you totally gave me goosebumps. With practice, I am confident you can get this down without the autotuning. Very well done!
