A thousand years ago, he acted in a group with Terrakion and Virizion in order to preserve the peace of their homeworld. Alongside their adopted son, a Keldeo named Montgomery, and a giant mobile fortress known as Alexander, they would go to battle against a fearsome foe: Giratina.

The clash left the family torn, and the fort’s power supply depleted. Athos would believe his family to be dead…and even though they succeeded in sealing Giratina away in the Distortion World, Athos would continue to lay pressure on those who chose to worship the eldritch god. He would form a new group: the Crusaders of the Sword, and swore he would deliver Justice to the world…at any cost.
