Erm.... thats with Charlton Heston as Richelieu, much different than Tim Curry. Curry is a crazy actor, Heston won an oscar as Ben Hur.

That Rochefort was played by Christopher Lee. A classic movie in two parts from 1973. The best one.

Yes, that's quite a big problem...in my story (heaven knows when I continue), it's a great problem he cannot see Black's iron claw fast enough....Too I decided to make him quite a bad gunner....shooting with right, setting a target with left eye...

Ravenscar / Blackspell actually gave up using guns. However, in the next chapter he will make use of those.

I also should have mentioned that Blackspell/Ravenscar is far better dueling in one-on-one situations. However, he isn't that good at fighting in a crowd or against more than one opponent.
As he mentioned his mentor was a professional duelist, which explains why he has gained the upper hand in the duel - however Le Chevalier is still the better captain and may be better at warcraft (though Blackspell is better with commerce and business).
