I wrote the story Duke & King, made pics of characters in it, and created the flag of Felorida, the island which the story takes place in. I’ve been doing some world building for Felorida, and what I came up with other than what I showcased in my story is a tradition regarding colors for the genders of the inhabitants of the island. In the island of Felorida, pink is a color for males, and blue is a color for females, not the other way around like we usually see in the real world.

The belief that pink is for boys and blue is for girls is something that actually was had in real life many, many years ago. Back then, pink was considered strong and masculine, and blue was considered delicate and feminine. It wouldn’t be until after World War II when the colors for the genders would be flipped. So, I made two flags that showcase the Feloridian tradition of pink being a boy’s color and blue being a girl’s color.

Here’s one of those flags. This is the flag for Feloridian males. This flag is white with two pairs of pink horizontal stripes on the top and the bottom, a pink silhouette of a cat’s head, and two male symbols on the left and right sides of the cat head silhouette.
