I literally though that all backgrounds here are photos! The bird couple and the icicles I also thought they are purely photos!
As I full-screened your post image, then I started doubting that some of them may be actual paintings. After seconds of careful analysing it I realised that all of them actual paintings! =D

Anyway. In the end, I felt being tricked, in a good sense, so I giggled good as the real thing finally got together in my mind. xD

thank you! i actually referenced photos a lot for backgrounds (icicles, for example, almost a copy), but i think just to copy and paste photos in backgrounds look a little misplaced. i always prefer to paint it myself, for both characters and backgrounds match in style
