-but no, only finished masks. I dont sell unfinished shells for heads.

what clay do you use and how expensive is it?

I believe it is "WED clay" it is a water based clay that will dry but very slowly if kept under a bag and misted... The other main sort is Oil Based clays that don't dry up but it's all up to the artists taste.

If the mouth is designed to open, I'm going to want to buy a cast! I've been wanting to make a gryphon mask for a looooong time, and I feel like I need a base to get myself started. This is EXACTLY what I wanted, in style, shape, size, and everything. I adore your work!

just wondering, when you sculpt stuff like this, do you sculpt that on top of a life-sized head model, or do you use something you've cast? Basically, if you don't mind me asking, how do you sculpt it to make sure it will fit?
