A different beat for

Cocobanana , hopefully it's the right speed lol

I'm still on my J-Dilla phase, I'm trying to master the way he would have his drums.

Also, this is the first beat I ever tracked out and mixed sounds individually yay lol

Mixing is a pain lol, I want it to be loud and bassy but not distorted.

I feel you on the distortion thing. It's a major turn off for me.

Anyway, I enjoyed this. I love love love a fast beat, but these slower mello ones are great. Makes me think of cities as the sun sets

Yeah, I'm a more mellow guy, so I tend to lean towards these type of beats.

use graphic eqs to do the bass, if u got one with an analyzer, it helps so much, cause all ya got to do is keep the line below the top, lol, and just get it as kick as possible between 20 and 80hz. also limiters help a lot to make it think and not distorted

I know what you mean when it comes to mastering mixing. IMO the most boring part of making music haha, especially when all you've got for production is Garageband

Lovin the smooth chords in the background of the song. The drums came off perfectly for me. Good job overall.

Now that I've heard this track enough, it's definitely got more of a Fat Jon vibe to it than Dilla. It's still sick, it's just that it sounds more "clean" than a Dilla track.
