My idea: she was an adventurer, but after trying on demonic armor, she became one with it.

Miscellaneous details:
-She has black spots around her teeth—something like the black outline of animal gums.
-Her legs, like her arms, turn golden toward the feet.
-Possibly poisonous.
-The functionality of the armor's eyes and muzzle is up to you. It would be funny if she could chat with the breastplate.
-The armor is not removable, except for the cloak and other fabric.
