Nope, he's not an anthropomorphic fox, but an "anthro" hybrid: a type of animal-human being who appears as an anthropomorphic animal. Yeah, he's still human, hence things like the five fingers. Also, wrong again, with his pet: Faxie isn't just a cat nor another little fox, he's a robotic fox and cat hybrid! Well, nothing like being a combination of fennec fox (ears) and gray fox (tail) to make you want a little buddy who's also a mismatch himself.
