Yep. That parakeet was a trip at times. Made the mistake of playing a video near him of a parakeet that learned to imitate R2D2. After hearing it 3 times he started to make those noises. I soon realized I really didn't want to hear an R2 unit all day long. Downloaded sound files of wild parakeets and other Australian birds, burned them to a cd and put that on repeat. That cured the Droid sounds...

Imagine hearing that all day
ours is a nice one my wife bought more than a few years ago. The rotating base broke, so after Christmas last year we bought another base (cheap) and I didn't realize the power source was one volt off. Needless to say, I burned out the light controller, and we had to buy a correct base. Today I will wrestle with getting the new lights on it, and then we can commence decorating. Oh Joy to the World... *smiles...

My previous tree had built in lights. One year thy worked. The next year they didn't. Was late in putting up the tree, mix of depression and mom being hospitalized. Had to buy white wired lights 2 days before Christmas. Looked horrible. Bought green wire multiple color bulb lights the next year.
