Mur are born with teeth in case something happens, its not all sunshine and roses for their species. Often fighting with their siblings over milk supplies soon after birth. Li wouldn't be able to reach the clouds, too young and weak. Wings would be useless in the vacuum of space as well. And Cosmo is not flying into space, but lower atmosphere at best.
