1. Preheat oven to 400F. Line a tart pan with pie crust. Fold crust into edge and crimp. Line crust with foil and fill with pie weights. Bake for 15 minutes or until light brown. Cool crust on wire rack for 5 minutes and discard foil. Lower oven to 350F.
2. In a large bowl, beat egg whites and egg together. Whisk in syrup, brown sugar, flour, butter, and vanilla. Stir in walnuts afterward.
3. Pour mixture into crust. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until inserted knife comes out clean. Cool on wire rack for 1 hour.
