Many artists like the character, those Blotchy folks have taken quite a shine to him. ;) I suppose we'll have to get you to draw him sometime soonish.

It's because striped hyenas are awesome and for some reason get so little love. There's a handful of people who do them regularly (Natasha, Heather, Blotches) but not many!

I knows, Natasha has a striped mini going into the AC art show, I bought Heather's Stripey at FC AND Blotch likes to randomly draw my bloke from time to time. Do you like to draw them? :)

I do! I am working on a tribal hyena piece with brown-striped-spotted in it in a more african design (I really enjoy doing both stylized and realistic work). I did a sheet of stripey wildlife sketches - I need to upload them at some point (along with a stack of similar sketches I haven't gotten the chance to scan!) but they're one of those species I definitely don't get to do often enough. People and their silly affinity for wolves. ;) ::nips playfully::
