The Antimatter Universe, also known as Negative Universe or Reverse Universe is an alternate universe that is much like the normal universe in Universe 7 (Known as Our Universe, Mundus, or Known Universe) except everything is reverse-colored. Even the black holes are "white holes", was a type of parallel universe on a different dimensional plane.



These universes were the negative antimatter opposites of the familiar positive matter universes. While in the prime universe things were composed of matter, the corresponding things in the negative universes were composed of antimatter. In general though, matter from a positive universe coming into contact with antimatter from a negative universe would not result in the annihilation of both particles.

History



In Star Trek universe, The minus universe was the home of anti-Lazarus, a man whose civilization created a negative magnetic corridor to safely connect with the positive matter universe. The universes closely resembled each other, identical particles, individuals and planets existed in both universes, where one was composed of matter, the corresponding other was composed of antimatter. Only if the exact identical particle counterparts from the different universes came into contact inside either universe they would annihilate each other. This would start a chain reaction that would annihilate the universe, where the event took place, as a whole. As long as this type of contact was averted, safe visitations could be made. Within the negative magnetic corridor, an alternative warp allowed safe interaction with counterpart elements of both universes. If a person with a counterpart were to step through to either side together, only one entity would exist. The entity would periodically change places with its counterpart distorting the physical laws of that universe while the change occurred. The effect included, for a split second, the complete disruption of normal magnetic and gravimetric fields, time warp distortion, and radiation variations. Magnetic fields nullified, dilithium crystals were quickly drained of power, and mass attained zero gravity. This event occurred when anti-Lazarus stepped through in 2267. The reverse universe, In 2270, while transporting Commodore Robert April to his retirement ceremony on Babel, USS Enterprise attempted to stop an alien starship heading for the Beta Niobe supernova at warp 36. While trying to rescue the ship, the Enterprise was dragged inside the nova and into the reverse universe. In the reverse universe, the inhabitants of the planet Arret began their life at an old age and slowly grew younger. Brain functions, language, and operational controls worked in reverse of what they did in the positive matter universe, as the flow of time was reversed. Beginning a process ended it and starting it stopped it. Space was white and full of black stars. Although the universes had totally different timelines, the planets and stars of the Milky Way Galaxy were at least located in exactly the same places. During a short visit to the reverse universe lifeforms would grow younger at a normal but reverse rate. Spending more time in this dimensional realm, the rate of reverse growth increased to a rate where lifeforms would reverse grow to infants from adulthood within minutes and die in reverse birth. It was possible to use molecular structure records in the transporter system to restore the physical age though. The planet Bajor also had a counterpart in the antimatter universe.



In Transformers universe, A Quintesson scientist kidnapped Ultra Magnus, Cyclonus, Wreck-Gar, and Marissa Faireborn to perform psychological experiments on them. His ship with them aboard was pulled into a black hole, sending them to a negative universe. Everyone aboard survived with no ill effects, but the color spectrum was shifted. No one had any desire to explore the newly discovered universe, so they went home by going back into the black hole (a white hole in the negative universe). Vector Prime clarified that while physical attributes in negative universes are altered, these universes are not "Negative Polarity" universes as they are changed on an axis that does not align to spark resonance. The negative universe is an alternate universe that is much like the normal universe except everything is reverse-colored. Even the black holes are "white holes".



In StarGalaxia season 13, episode 23 - "The Time Clock-Counter Effect", Robert Anderson and Leona Anderson, and his families, friends and heroes accidentally entered an antimatter universe while escorting his Elaine Cantran's parents, and his Davidson family and friends during the ceremony to the Barvoli. While en route, the R.G.S.S. Dragoon had been stopped to view the Savlor supernova where it encountered an alien ship heading directly into the nova at a speed of warp 36. Fearing for the life of the sole occupant of the alien ship, Kuoot Stardoga ordered his crew to engage the tractor beam so as to slow or even stop the vessel's course. The tactic was been failed and the alien ship ended up dragging the R.G.S.S. Dragoon into the nova and then into the antimatter universe where black stars shone in a white void, where the color spectrum is drastically altered. While the aliens works on a plan to return them to their own universe, the others set about repairing the overloaded engines. Once repairs are complete, the alien slingshots the ship through the white hole, re-emerging from the black hole into the middle of a battle, but was arrived the Dark Multiverse and Multiverse too. In the antimatter universe, Kuoot's crew quickly came to realize that the normal processes of their ship, as well as their bodies, worked in reverse. For example, the R.G.S.S. Dragoon's controls all worked in reverse, the ship traveled backwards through space, and the ship's chronometers all ran in reverse. Jake also commented that the crew themselves were growing younger in age. He would later theorize that the inhabitants of this antimatter universe were born in old age and would die in their infancy; essentially their descendants were born before them, and their ancestors were born after them. The brains of the crew also worked in reverse allowing them to understand language in the antimatter universe without the use of the universal translator. Upon arriving in the antimatter universe, the pilot of the alien vessel, Arret native female named Karina Nine, was contacted by the R.G.S.S. Dragoon and she offered the assistance of her world's scientists in getting Robert, Leona and his crew and friends back to their own universe. Karina Nine escorted the Enterprise to Arret, her homeworld, and whose location in the antimatter universe corresponded with Earth in the normal universe aka Universe 7. Earlier, Karina Nine had revealed her theory that stars are dying in the normal universe aka Universe 7, and stars being born in the antimatter universe acted as gateways between the two so long as they occupied the same space in both universes. It was the dying Savlor and the antimatter universe's newly born star, Amphion, which had created the initial gateway for the R.G.S.S. Dragoon to enter the antimatter universe. With this information, the crew and friends of the R.G.S.S. Dragoon then sought out two stars occupying the same space in both universes as a means to get home, and return to the normal universe.

Although colors are supposedly inverted in the negative universe (as seen in the example of a white hole), the characters colors are simply chosen at random, rather than the proper inverted colors they would be.
