i've done the whole bg first, really fun to do and i really like how it's coming out so far. still some things to add here and there
the finished version will of course have nude figures, though i really like this version with the blanks, too!

Dude, you're killllling this. I totally agree that I almost want it to stay white silhouettes. I'm usually not one for the sort of pop art sensibility of actively pointing out the fact that this is a painting, but the silhouettes are so pleasing, and it limits the values/colors in the piece which gives it such a nice, comfortable feel.

i finished it up the other day, i was a bit afraid that the linework and colours of the furries would look weird but i think they work together kind of nicely, very "anime aesthetic", strongly styled and cartoony characters on a sort of impressionistic background

Those blank areas are rather spooky. I like that. If you really want to freak people out put some totally different images in them..like cityscapes, closeups of faces either anthro or human..or just weird shapes and colors. :)
But no matter what that background is absolutely aces! Can't wait to see this finished and what others you have in the works.
