Day 433 - December 11th, 2741
Been on the road for a week now heading south. We stopped by Dustshade to resupply, decent little place where the sandy channel meets the forest. A small trading village on the road.
What caught Lily's attention though was that this was the first time she has ever seen a tree up close. She has read about them plenty, but never had the opportunity to see one while living in the desert. Some of that innocent sparkle returned to her eyes, even if for a moment. It was nice.
Still, when resupplying Pathfinder notified us that the convoy was coming in the next day or so along our path. And to make matters worse, they were spotted along with a prison transport. Settlers from a past insurrection.
But in a good turn of fate, these farmers were once STEEL soldiers, and also had a bone to pick with them. I gave them the rundown, so they were willing to help.
They advised there was a good ambush point a few hours down the road, so they got some gear smuggled away, and we set off down the road.
