This is a heavily edited photo of the beach to try and convey a particular concept for my Arhulians.
When in a deep meditative trance, and Arhulian can access their Igeumbra (Ehg-umbrah). This place is a reflection of the soul and the will of the being channeling it. For most other beings, there is a stark disconnect between body soul and mind, and it takes a great deal of patience and training to dissolve those barriers.
The Iegumbra is a place where a persons thought's and memories can become so real you can touch them. It is a place where cherished memories can be relived, a void clear of any distractions from the outside world, a filter to see the things the physical world is blind and deaf to, a place to consult locked away memories the waking mind cannot recall. But, it is also a place where one's fear and anxieties become manifest. A place that one can lose grip on what is real and what is not. For this, it is vital for any budding psionic to develop their "astral compass" - en extraordinary sense to ground one's self to a universal reference frame, and have an absolute, objective perception of reality.
Non-Arhulians are shocked these beings are able to traverse the Iegumbra without effort, let alone without peril, and awestruck that the place of wicked nightmares, demons, and churning tides is plane of smooth obsidian with thin layer of glass-smooth water, and dancing aurora above.
