I like the morphing of the body quite a lot.

The idea of the hair sprouting out of the mask is something I also like, especially due to the reappearing element with the bird.
However, the hair does seem to twist a bit unnatural for me in the area above his left shoulder. If I hide that area with my hand and look at the image, it does look better to me.

Great job on the general feel though. :3
