It was happening, after 9 years Zootopia 2 was out. It could never be as good as the experience I had seeing the first Zootopia though. How could it? My Mother and I were visiting Hollywood California and it was playing at the El Capitan, Disney's premiere theater. We were not there for opening night when the voice talent was there to chat and sign autographs but the day after and the local zoo had a live sloth to interact with, there were commemorative bags with exclusive Disney pins (I am a collector) also Nick and Judy were there in suits to show us to our seats and as life sized statues top take photos with. It was really the way to see a movie I thought and by the end we were just overwhelmed. I mean that ending song was so amazing, right?

So here we are 9 years later with the world as it is and I wanted an escape, friends and I went to a dinner theater here in the US midwest, one where they serve you dinner to a table at your seat. Hake saw it at a nice theater in France a few days before so we saw it together in spirit. I will say it had the same pace of the first, non stop action and introduces not just new characters but new species. The music was first rate and we had a blast. There was a hint at the end of a third one and I am all for that!

Delayed a week due to power outages and ever present danger, one has to admire the fortitude of those who do such lovely art under those conditions. Please show them some respect and love, commission some art from them to keep them going and their minds off of current events. The artist went to see the movie as well and wouldn't you know the power went out but they managed to get it back up and going again to finish it.
