While on their way to Medea and Jason's place, the latter started to tell his story:
"Since I heard of it for the first time from the old cats of the town, I've always wanted to go to the Tower. It has this inexplicable attraction that beckons the strong and the mad.... but of course, I had to pass through the monsters that were guarding it: strange creatures that emitted shifting lights, had three aracnid legs, two arms, and a dark muddy body with metallic parts sticking from it... As you must have noticed, we've exterminated them all, but they wouldn't have cause much trouble to you..."
