I've been reflecting a bit on Zeke lately. You may see more art of him soon.
His aura is both earthy and cosmopolitan. You could drop him anywhere on the planet that's fit for mammal habitation and he'd probably find a way to be comfortable there.
I have several characters who seem to live without walls. Most of the time it's because something is preventing them from coming home, or finding a home in the first place. In a few cases it's their free choice, but it's still clear to see what's motivating them to remain "out there". They're adventure junkies like Mina or men on missions like Silvio.
But what prompted Zeke to up and leave home? Was it to leave his mark on the world? The parts of it he likes don't need changing. Was it to strike it rich? He's kind of done that, but it hasn't rubbed off on him. Was it to find love? He's loved, lost, and moved on.
His inner drives seem to be powered by an engine that requires no input. His spirit is self-sufficient—he'd love to have you but he does not need you. To people who don't possess that kind of soul he may seem distant, even dismissive and uncaring, but that couldn't be further from the truth.
Even experts at letting go can get homesick. But he'll process that in his own way, at his own pace.
