Dreamscape (Ambient Techno Mix)
I've started two ambient projects to capture, with ambience, the feeling of the past and future. This project is the past. The song starts off with pure, dark ambience then progresses into techno using hardstyle leads and sounds and topped with a piano for that extra umph. Done on fl studio using reFX Nexus and custom effects.

All of the sounds came from Nexus; the background ambience is a pad and no arps were used. Did I actually create the sounds, no, they're tweaked presets from nexus (as in I added effects to them); did I make all the patterns, yes. This is neither a remix nor a cover; it is 100% original. Hope that answers your question. XD
There are many ways to manipulate sound. You could add effects like delay and reverb, EQ to further cusomize the frequency, and use 1000's of effects that change, distort, etc sound. You can even mess around with the knobs and buttons on the vsti gui to manipulate the sound to your liking.
