The Striding Shnork is a fairly large herbivorous mammal native to the Great Grasslands. With its tall stature, it serves as a significant browser in its ecosystem. It can reach leaves that are too high for most smaller herbivores while at the same time reaching those that are too low for bigger herbivores to bother with.

Striding Shnorks move and act in a way similar to Earth's giraffes. When they run, they make long, graceful strides, which allow them to cover significant distances in a short amount of time. Their necks are powerful and are often used as weapons in duels for territory or for mating rights. Similar to giraffes, they can trample would-be attackers, though instead of hooves, they have dog-like claws which can inflict devastating slashing damage.
