• Biography: Yoki is one of the many ½ Mermaids born to Junichiro & Palutena, being born a day after Noelani was born, making her part of the 3rd line of ½ Mermaids born into the family. Yoki grew up with deep admiration for her father, and his heroic deeds, wanting to be a fighter like he is. Recognizing that she had a mystical & beautiful singing voice, Yoki pursued the path of the Songstress. Tapping into her singing potential, Yoki proved her singing is able to heal, seduce, and even befuddle to name a few. As a result, Yoki constantly developed a number of magical songs that will be beneficial to her allies, and sheer agony to her enemies. However, Yoki knows she can’t rely solely on her singing voice to defeat her enemies. To that end, she learned how to use magic, in addition to learning how to use swords, spears, daggers, and even boomerangs. Needless to say, all this made her a good fit for the Dragon Quest universe where dancers were common, but songstresses were few. She has since been helping to defend the peace of the Dragon Quest universe, and her home of Olympus, when needed to do so. As is to be expected from those in Juni’s family, Yoki is a friendly girl, inheriting only the best traits from her parents. She’s a sweet & playful soul but has proven to be a big tease here & there. She enjoys singing her heart out whenever the chance arises to do so, but she does not like those who sing badly, or those who make & write horrible music. Although she will encourage those who do so to get better. Like a handful of her sisters, Yoki is a proven absolute mudlark, and she will not hesitate to throw herself into a quicksand pit the moment she spots one. She also gets excited when signs of quicksand are discovered in the area she is exploring. Has the purest singing voice known.
• Abilities: Being ½ Mermaid, Yoki is capable of transforming into her mermaid form the moment she enters the water. As a mermaid, like all her other ½ mermaid siblings, she has excellent swimming speed, can breathe underwater without the need to surface for air; though she & her other sisters form gills to help with this, too, and she can commune with aquatic creatures of any kind. However, she primarily transforms while in either fresh or seawater. And like her mother & siblings, Yoki strongly prefers the water to be clean before she thinks about transforming. Yoki begins the party with the vocation Songstress, which is unique to her. As a Songstress, Yoki has a similar working to Dancer, but has a stronger magic focus than dancers do, enabling her to learn a greater number of magic spells than most dancers would. Her songs have a great number of effects, such as being able to revive dead allies, healing wounds, and increasing the tension of allies to maximum easily to name a few. In battle, Yoki battles using swords, spears, daggers, and even boomerangs. She is not above using her sex appeal in battle either. She begins with the following weapons, spells, songs, and abilities.
o Dragon Scale Katana: A katana made from Damascus steel and outfitted with a Dragon Scale pattern. This sharp sword boasts an impressive attack power and can dish out bonus damage on dragon enemies. It grants a +24 Attack boost when equipped. Yoki won’t sell this sword since she made it herself, but she will enhance it to make it stronger.
o White Yari: A sharp Jumonji Yari sporting a white tiger motif. This sharp spear can easily deal bonus damage to beast family monsters. It gives an Attack +20 boost when equipped. It can’t be sold, but it can be enhanced to be made stronger.
o Black Katar: A hooded Katar with a Black Tortoise motif. This dagger makes for a good slashing weapon, but it’s primarily meant for stabbing. This dagger gives a +14 Attack boost when equipped, and it also boosts Yoki’s Defense by 15 as well. It can’t be sold, but it can be enhanced to be made stronger.
o Vermillion Boomerang: A boomerang sporting a vermillion bird motif. This boomerang is unique in that while it hits all enemies like all boomerangs with the damage being lesser each time, this boomerang makes a return trip to hit the enemies on the field a 2nd time after the initial toss. It gives a +13 Attack boost when equipped. Yoki will never sell this boomerang, but it can be enhanced to boost its power.
o Songstress Dress: This lovely dress befits Yoki’s role as a Songstress. She is never seen singing without it on when the time to sing arises. This outfit gives Yoki a +25 Defense boost. It cannot be sold, but Yoki will enhance it to make it stronger.
o Frizz: Fries an enemy.
o Sizz: Burns a group of enemies.
o Crack: Icy strike on enemy.
o Heal: Restores a small amount of HP.
o Alluring Song: Yoki sings a song that has a chance to befuddle enemies, making them lose up to 4 turns.
o Song of Restoration: Yoki sings a lovely song that heals all her allies of their HP. Also cures any status ailments they may have and eliminates any debuffs inflicted.
o Seraphic Serenade: An angelic song so holy, undead enemies take intense damage, and will be more susceptible to critical hits for 7 turns max.
o Song of Power: Yoki sings a song containing immense power that causes her & her allies to experience maximum tension instantly.
o Puff-Puff: Attempts to distract an enemy. Usable on male allies to boost morale.
o Blow Kiss: Cutely blows a kiss that badly harms enemies and attempts to confuse the enemies targeted.
o Sexy Beam: Channels sex appeal to create a damaging pink ray. May cause confusion.
