I like the concept for this character here.
Something with this sort of simple shape construction would look best in flatter-tones.
If you were to do this in natural media, I'd look into getting markers in this character's color scheme.

whee..this is cute. the only thing i notice is your paper seems to scan in smudgy looking. it is a scan right? >.>. one thing that might help is if you scanned as a document rather than photo if your scanner has that option. It helps pop out whites cleaner. It can kinda mess with color pencil tho.
