• Biography: Cherith is one of the many ½ Mermaids born to Junichiro & Palutena, being born a day after Yoki was born, making her part of the 3rd line of ½ Mermaids born into the family. Cherith is one of the few in the family to surpass her mother in terms of bust size, third only to her sister Malila, and others of the 43’’ club. Cherith possesses a K-Cup bust, yet her breasts are 1 inch bigger than Palutena's. Growing up, Cherith shared a great interest in being a fighter for truth & justice like her father is. Seeing Aegaea, her elder sister, becoming a dancer inspired her to follow the dancer path as well. Together with Aegaea, Cherith learned how to perform a great multitude of dances, with some boasting magic power. Though Cherith specialized in belly dances like Aegaea, Cherith added some Shantae style flair to her own belly dances, and incidentally, this meant unlocking the ability to transform via dancing as well. Even so, once she got the hang of dancing, she took up learning how to fight using swords, daggers, boomerangs, and whips. As a result, this made her outfitted to fight in the Dragon Quest universe, and she has been lending a hand in keeping the peace in that universe safe, all the while also defending her home of Olympus when necessary. As is to be expected from those in Juni’s family, Cherith is a very friendly girl, inheriting only the best traits from her parents. She is easily one of the sweetest among the ½ Mermaids and also one of the most playful. However, she has proven to be a tease to her family & teammates as well, and she makes no apologies for it. Cherith has a soft spot for children and is often happy to be in their company. However, she has no forgiveness for those who’re pedophiles, and understandably so, views them as enemies of all children. And she can tell who fits the bill instantly. Like a handful of her sisters, Cherith is a proven absolute mudlark, and she will not hesitate to throw herself into a quicksand pit the moment she spots one. She also gets excited when signs of quicksand are discovered in the area she is exploring. Blows the sweetest kisses.
• Abilities: Being ½ Mermaid, Cherith is capable of transforming into her mermaid form the moment she enters the water. As a mermaid, like all her other ½ mermaid siblings, she has excellent swimming speed, can breathe underwater without the need to surface for air; though she & her other sisters form gills to help with this, too, and she can commune with aquatic creatures of any kind. However, she primarily transforms while in either fresh or seawater. And like her mother & siblings, Cherith strongly prefers the water to be clean before she thinks about transforming. Like her older sister Aegaea, Cherith starts the party in the Dancer vocation. As a dancer, Cherith possesses great speed & evasion, but her strength, resilience, and wisdom are all balanced out nicely. In battle, she provides support through her dances, and many of them have a number of effects, from boosting the stats of her allies to summoning pits of quicksand. Incidentally, she can even take on different forms with one dance. Cherith fights using swords, daggers, boomerangs, and whips, and is a proficient spellcaster as well. She begins with the following gear, magic, and skills.
o Dragon Scale Scimitars: A pair of swords forged using Damascus steel and boasting a beautiful dragon scale pattern. This pair of scimitars enable Cherith to attack enemies twice when it’s her turn. The swords grant Cherith a +24 Attack boost when equipped. They cannot be sold since Cherith forged them herself, though she’ll enhance them to make them stronger.
o Shark Tooth Katar: This push dagger is also forged of Damascus steel, though as the name implies, it uses a shark tooth pattern. It gives a +18 Attack boost and deals effective damage on aquatic family monsters. It can’t be sold since Cherith made it herself. However, she will enhance it to boost its power.
o Gale Boomerang: A boomerang hosting wind magic within. This boomerang deals both physical and magical damage, effectively allowing it to deal damage twice in one throw, ensuring that despite the reduced damage, it still hurts big time. It grants a +15 Attack boost, and a +15 Magic boost when equipped, and it deals bonus damage to bird family enemies as well. It cannot be sold since Cherith made this herself but will enhance it to make it stronger.
o Slime Whip: This whip is as sticky as it is lethal. It attacks with the same force as all whips, but this whip has the addition of reducing the agility of enemies as well. The whip gives a +12 Attack boost when equipped. It can’t be sold, but it can be enhanced to make it stronger.
o Dancer’s Bedlah: Cherith’s primary dancer outfit. This lovely outfit provides eye candy for onlookers and Cherith can dance effortlessly in it. This provides a +24 boost to Defense & Agility. It can’t be sold, but it can be enhanced to be made stronger.
o Genie Bedlah: A more magically orientated bedlah themed after Shantae’s own bedlah. This outfit is as cute as it is potent. When worn, this doubles the effects of all of Cherith’s magic dances and provides a good deal of benefits. It can change colors for different effects as well. When red, Cherith enjoys being able to dish out far more magical damage. When blue, it lessens the damage Cherith takes from magic by 75% and gives her an evasive boost. Overall, it grants a +30 boost to both her defenses. It can’t be sold, but it can be enhanced.
o Slime Earrings: Cute Earrings in the shape of slime. Defense +5.
o Frizz: Fries a single enemy.
o Sizz: Fries a group of enemies.
o Crack: Pierces a single enemy with razor-sharp icicles.
o Crackle: Pierces a group of enemies with razor-sharp icicles.
o Heal: Heals an ally significantly.
o Rallying Dance: A magic dance that boosts the stats of allies for 5 turns. The stats chosen are random at best.
o Slime Dance: This dance summons a horde of slimes to mob all enemies in sticky slime. A king slime typically finishes the attack.
o Quicksand Dance: A magic dance that turns the entire battlefield into quicksand. Works best in swamps, jungles, deserts, fields, and even forests.
o Transformation Dance: A dance that enables Cherith to transform into an enemy monster, or an animal. However, she can only stay transformed for a limited time, and it depends on what she transforms into. For instance, a monkey transformation can be maintained for as long as Cherith wishes. Transforming into a Green Dragon on the other hand, takes up a lot more magic power and Cherith can only maintain the form for 5 to 10 turns before she has to change back to normal.
o Puff-Puff: Attempts to distract an enemy.
o Blow Kiss: Cutely blows a kiss that damages an enemy and may cause confusion.
o Hip Drop: A painful butt slam attack that deals 130% damage.
o Sexy Beam: Channels sex appeal to create a damaging pink ray that deals big damage and may befuddle enemies.
