He sat there, telephone in hand, listening to the silence on the line. Time seemed to drag as he waited for the operator to answer, and then...
"Operator," came a woman's voice.
In his daze, he was quiet for a moment more.
"Could you connect me with 'LOMAX53'?"
There was a notable pause as the operator seemed to hesitate.
"One moment please, sir."
"Thank you."
There was a -Click- and the line began to ring.
Rrrrrrrrr...
Rrrrrrrrr...
Rrrrrrrrr...
So what happens next folks?
This was a sketch I did a couple weeks ago when I was feeling down. It was a good outlet, since I did feel better after puting this idea to paper.
