I've got wasps living in the overhang in my roof, above the patio. I haven't been stung yet, but I can't cook out there until I get rid of them :P
If they were the native species I probably wouldn't bother with them, but the European version is quite a bit more aggressive so they're probably getting sprayed once the temp drops below 65F outside.

Mainly this is just an excuse to play with the telephoto. :) I have the aperture open a little too far (depth of field too low) and the shutter speed a little too slow (wing blur), but I was just screwing around so I'm not going to redo the pic.
