My attempt at a past Thursday Prompt. The word for this prompt was "summer".
As always, please be sure to check out
ThursdayPrompt for more.
Last week was a scene from a tabletop game I am a player in, this week is a scene I thought fit the game that I am actually running myself (I have no idea what I'm doing, I just hope the players are enjoying themselves).

Tea with a dragon. Sounds nice!
The ending had me a little confused. The wolf starts out unfazed by the arrival of the speaker (the pink-scaled dragoness), then switches to frightened bewilderment, then apparently he's about to weep? Not sure if I'm missing some background info. Is it just that the wolf royal was totally caught off guard as to the nature of the speaker?

Nothing beats a cup of tea on a warm summer's day!
That bit with the wolf probably fell a bit flat. I had kind of neglected fleshing it out as I honestly thought it would demonstrate he's got a lot more on his mind beyond the current affairs but the lacking context probably makes things a bit confusing. He recently lost his wife though, that is something I am playing into in the tabletop campaign I am hosting that this story is based off of.
Despite the confusion, thanks much for having given this one a read, it really means a lot to me.
