They killed him, right in front of me.

I just froze, it was like my whole life flashed before my eyes. Memories of Jared welcoming me to this town. The joy I felt when he first referred to me as a daughter, and the smile on his face when I called him dad.

All beautiful memories, yet there I stood overtop his deceased body.

I felt an anger build up in me. An anger I never felt anywhere near before. I wailed over the loss of Jared, and in that moment... something in me... triggered.

As if like a machine, I perfectly disarmed one of the approaching STEEL soldiers, using wielder abilities that were once dormant, now awoken through the catalyst of my grief.

The other STEEL soldiers opened fire, one bullet grazed my head, as I used the rifle I took from the first soldier to return fire.

It was then there was a loud crash and we were all thrown to the ground. I used the chance to take out the other STEEL soldiers, and get some distance. Only to meet her, X0-C3. I didn't know whose side she was on, if any, but she quickly made work out of STEEL so I assumed a reluctant alliance with her.

Things are a bit of a blur here, but I remember using my speed and knowledge of the town to dart around, taking out as many STEEL soldiers as I could. Unleashing fury. But STEEL kept coming, and X0-C3 kept pushing back more and more, enjoying every second of it. The sound of her laughter has never left my mind.

Then the explosion came. Explosive ordinance dropped from orbit. They landed everywhere, even on my home, then, nothing. Everything went black.

I know now that one explosive went off nearby and knocked me out. Next thing I remember was seeing Clover over my bedside, and the rest she knows.
