I finished this illustration tonight with gouache and ink. The fireplace is burning brightly on Christmas Eve night. A portrait of her late great grandfather who was a veteran hangs above the mantle with pride. Poppy Cottontail, who is 5-years-old, is standing by the small round table near the Christmas tree. The fat little bunny, dressed up in pink pyjamas, is laying out a platter of chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk for Santa Claus.
