The shadow figure had his muzzle and eyes nearly seen, sneering at the change of events. He tries to inject the red panda with the syringe, and a gunshot fires, shattering it out of his grasp. Through the tigress and the wolfess wrestling down his fellow goons, the wolfess in a pink scarf and mask had eyes and a gun trained on him. He pulled Marshal closer to be his shield, and took the needle from the broken syringe.
“You know what would happen.” The hooded one said, “You really want to risk that?”
Circuit kept her gun trained on the person, “You think you’d actually escape?”
“I may go down…” he said, “...But I won’t go back alone.” He shoved Marshal into Circuit, who caught him safely, then the man ran for Copeland, another syringe in hand.
Copeland had just finished tying down a criminal, when the shadowed figure charged her. She got ready to counter grapple the guy, and the man plowed into her. They battled and wrestled on the ground; through the fighting, the hood fell back to reveal the figure’s goat face, but, in this fight, he injected the syringe into her chest as well.
Copeland quickly went from a wince of pain to a snarling warcry as she forced the figure off her. She swung hook-shots and haymakers at this man, missing a few times until she went to tackle him. He pulled his hood over his face, and when she attacked him, he held his ground,
“You’re holding back, I know you still have your gun..” He grinned, starting to lean back more, “You know you want to do it.”
“I can’t let you leave..” Copeland said under her breath, trying to push him back rather than push him down.
“Then try to stop me.” The goat said, “You know where I go in the dark.” And he let himself fall under her strength.
Though, as they were falling, Copeland grabbed his hood and pulled it off. The two got into another tumble, the goat not having enough shadow to hide in, and Circuit not having a clear shot with Copeland there.
Copeland finally held him down again, and drew her gun this time. She holds it right under his chin. She just… held it there, fighting something else as she held this man down.
“It compels you, doesn’t it?” the goat wasn’t even trying to get the gun away from his head, “Lord knows what that extra dose will do. Just pull the trigger.”
Copeland was hesitant, remembering what happened before, but this rush, this need to kill, it already her finger tapping on the trigger. But, this plague, which sharpened her fangs and reddened her irises. What more would it do to give in.
Copeland snarled, pressing the barrel under his chin more, then she threw the gun across the room. The goat looked up at her, in disappointment. He shoved her off with relative ease, but that was because Copeland was now in something much worse than before.
