You know... I actually was wondering that myself when I looked at this again. It sure seems like I used watercolor for the background element at the top, but then off to the side I see my typical marker brush strokes. I'm confused by this because I never bring watercolors with me to conventions because I haven't yet learned how to properly control them. Maybe I borrowed some for this? Or maybe the markers I was using were really wet?
My convention art tools these days are pretty much consistent otherwise:
Blue col-erase pencil for sketching.
Pentel XFL2F brush pen for inking.
Copic Multiliner pens in .1, .3, and .5 for detail inks.
and Copic markers for coloring.
Other things I use are a Sakura brand EE-3000 Sumogrip electric eraser which I've described as a surgeon's scalpel when it comes to erasing my lines, and Sumogrip Block erasers when I want to nuke all the pencil lines after inking.
