Kelapa is the ruler of the board world in chapter 3 of needle travels and the main antagonist of that chapter.
she, like kim kueen, has a similar personality, but kelapa seems more cheerful and helps anyone who approaches her.
Her dialogue is mostly filled with phrases and words borrowed from Brazilian portuguese mixed with her english. She also uses < or > as a replacement for commas, apostrophes, dashes, quotation marks, and periods. she doesn't seem to have bad intentions, as she actually tries to hide her anxiety behind a cheerful and friendly face. It seems she doesn't treat her employees well, as she often demands they work with her. she's aware of nekkoton's existence and initially believed she was some kind of street artist or special effects artist. kelapa also mentions that before nekkoton left board world, she worked for her. She asks why nekkoton is no longer with her. she's also aware of the entity Nekkoton contacted by phone. kelapa says someone scammed her and used her for their plans to defraud certain dreamers, or at least that's what she says 'bout said entity. apparently, she's also aware of baalphomet's existence. although baalphomet completely ignores them, it seems kelapa is also often ostracized by her employees after some of them abandoned her in the land of nothing. she seems to have a great fondness for nano. back when nano first entered the board world, he taught kelapa that the best thing for her was to do her best without worryin' 'bout criticism. at the time, kelapa felt bad 'bout havin' lost some of her friends, and for that reason, nano and kelapa get along quite well. kelapa was contacted by the knightmare so that hambo and her group could spend some time with her. however, she is also aware of how dangerous the knightmare is and decides to help them only to prevent them from bein' killed. In the land of nothin', she feels sad after losing her entire cast of friends. however, she cheers up with a battle against the group, causin' a fight. After being defeated, she feels sad 'bout losin' everyone and having no chance of findin' them. however, nano comforts her, tellin' her that there is still hope. and she tells kelapa that redemption exists. After thinkin' 'bout it for a while, kelapa accepts it, so she decides to lower hambo's father, who was in a dreamlike state inside a plastic bubble. however, she is interrupted by the Knightmarish, causin' her to cut off her rod and fall off-screen. In the epilogue of chapter 4, she is repaired by the sastiyatsas along with her cast in funky town, feelin' grateful to be at least back to life and with her cast. kelapa has ambiguous brown skin, like any burudu ningen species, pupil-less white eyes, a square jaw similar to a ventriloquist's puppet, and pink hair in a single ponytail. she wears a purple television presenter's outfit with a "K" on it, gauntlet-like hands, puppet-like joints, grayish pants with black shoes, a pink bird's tail, and a red rod. accordin' to kelapa, this rod is held up by two tomkats, as without them, she would fall, and she is unable to move without assistance. kelapa's battle stats are 5900 HP, 15 attack, and 0 defence. In the frozen route, she notices that several members of her cast have gradually disappeared. she doesn't know why, and accordin' to her, she doesn't have time to fight because she has to search for them instead of fighting. therefore, she decides to take down hambo's father, but not before being killed by the knightmare on this route. after defeating the knightmare and escapin', kelapa will not appear in funky town, because she was killed by the knightmare, so a statue is built in funky town in her honour.
