Hi.
It's me.
I am the Grinch.
Yeah, I don't like Christmas. It's not the event that I don't like, it's people. Like most people that don't like Christmas. The thing is the festivities are cool, but my family spoiled the fun and magic from me by being a bunch of bigoted people. So, to avoid losing the final strands of sanity I have, I just... avoid them. Which also means I avoid Christmas parties. Which means I spend Christmas on my own, which may sound awfully sad - and it is, in a certain way - but also means I can use this time to reflect and do stuff I enjoy.
Such as drawing. This one is simple, no shading and all... but it's 32ºC here, I am feeling sick and I am also in pain. I don't know if I ever mention that I made myself the favour of developing Fibromyalgia, which is ALSO the main reason for me closing commissions, because I had to find that sweet spot of work and rest that would make me feel like my arms were about to fall. I can't compromise people with this kind of experiment, so I decided to do it with closed commissions.
Anyway, I just want to wish all of you Merry Christmas, hopefully you guys aren't as unfortunate as I am and actually had a nice celebration and bunch of gifts and also remembered that Christmas is about solidarity, not about excess and luxury. Don't let Capitalism ruin the real meaning of it. Thank you very much.
