Christmas is a time for excuses. Specifically, it's an excuse to give people presents without them being confused or suspicious.

When you show people you care for them by giving them presents, it can sometimes hurt when they expect an ulterior motive, or for you to give them something in return. (Of course, getting a gift in return is always appreciated, but it is never expected)

This song, as a whole, was to celebrate the people out there who show their love by giving people gifts.

But...
As Christmas came around the corner, my deadline was getting close and, unfortunately, I got sick before the day I was supposed to record this song. So, I was unable to actually finish it with proper vocals and only had my "while-sick, placeholder" vocals in. (Which make me cringe, so I'm not showing them.)

But, I don't think I could wait an entire year for this thing to go live, so, please enjoy the instrumental I had worked on for my song, Christmas Excuses. I did the best I could, but it didn't come to fruition... and that's okay.

Maybe I'll do better next year, and maybe I'll become better at making music and art! But for now, this is what I can do.
