Some of these repair jobs in the Connecticut River Valley region are amazing. Hartford's cemetery has a number of restoration jobs done around 1900 that replicate the original carving so well you'd never know until you saw the "before" picture and the difference in color.

The Ancient Burial Ground adjacent to the Center Church in Hartford (near 1 Financial Plaza, the Gold Building) has some very old graves. Many of the stones have been repaired (some are over 300 years old). Some are well done, some not so much.
