One of my unexpected whims decided I should draw some funky goo creature using a sort of armor/exoskeleton combo for both protection and structural support, and then I got caught up in thinking about a semi-realistic design of how such a thing would work and articulate.

Anyway here's the result of my attempt at making something that makes sense, complete with me going way overboard on rendering all the different ways these surfaces shine.

So yeah, goo creature (evil.)

Also lmao with how much work this was I don't think I'll ever draw this guy again even though I have ideas for more details about the mechanical workings of everything, like how it's designed to open up so the goo-ber can encase and restrain a person to walk them back to wherever its supposed to bring the people it captures.
