Huge thank you to
Yusufpaw for making this, and refining it to align with the current design on the 3D version.

Exactly! You see, it all started back in early 2024 when I was animating Dock in 3D. I noticed that when his feet were literally just hands, he had to walk really weirdly. There was no heel to lift, so he'd end up raising his entire hand-foot. That made him look like he was doing an exaggerated march instead of walking naturally.
I started studying monkey anatomy for ideas, but then Black Myth: Wukong came out, and in one of the early trailers there's this great shot of the big monkey feet stepping into a puddle, with a proper heel and long toes up front. That became a huge inspiration for the current foot design! I workshopped with the genius Yusufpaw and we gave it our own slight twist, making them a bit thicker and beefier to appeal to foot/paw enthusiasts like yourself. x3
Really love the current design, and I'm glad others do as well.
Again, shoutout to @Yusufpaw for making it happen, without him the model would still have hand-feet.

An excellent job then to the both of ya! I think a lot of people tend to glaze over the anatomy of how a foot actually has to "work". Dock's feet keep that long toe and more extra-dexterous design by do it in a way that allows them to still function like a foot, so very well done. And yes - they're very appealing to pawsexuals and paw-lovers alike.
