Among other Christmas Gift arts for friends & acquaintances, I strongly desired to finish up this character sheet for my friend Garlicpacket on Bluesky- Page the Cat was first, Tsarina the Cobra follows in that gift tradition!
Granted, "first" is a lil' relative; we've seen Tsarina before as part of the G.U.N. side characters seen in Mobius: Returners. But this sheet's got both of her commonly-seen forms, the familiar fully-organic cobra serving in the Guardian Units, and her new form as an organic-unidroid hybrid. After acquiring the Metal Virus from Dr. Starline (and subsequently leaving the military as Commander Irons's ambitions came to a head), Tsarina would go off on her own to research the mechanical organism, tweaking its programming until she- somehow, impossibly- found a way to stabilize the strain, attaching a ruby-adorned 'crown of command' to her head that would remotely monitor her new Unity Virus as she allowed herself to become patient zero for the infection- and in the process, its new Tsar of Unity.
Despite what you might think, Tsarina's Unity Virus is actually entirely within her control; she's much more observant of any (now less frequent) permutations within the code than Dr. Eggman was and has her own methods of infecting others- usually through the skins of condensed Unity Virus bio-metal that she sheds over time. Very little of her body retains any organic material, much less is fully organic; her arms, legs & tail are all fully metallic thanks to prolonged infection and boast some malleability due to their condition.
Infection from Unity Virus isn't as rapid as becoming a Zombot, due to its more controlled code- it can require full immersion for hours to be corrupted, but that's what makes Tsarina's shed skins so effective as a 'containment suit' for those she plans to make into her servant Krepostniks. Beginning as basic Drones, those infected with her Virus will slowly lose more of their original nature as the shed skin becomes part of their body, becoming another cog in the grander machine of Tsarina's ambition to conquer all Mobius under the ideal of a 'perfect unity'.
