I loved drawing everybody with their lips flapping.
I know there is no accuracy with real science fiction. Still, it was the most fun to imagine what the trip would look like.
Here's the surprise menioned in Plano's intro, shape shifting! The dimension gateway messed with Plano's power and allowed it to transform freely in the backseat. In truth, Plano is a scientist who uses chemistry to medically modify its appearance after drinking chemistry vials of solution. Here, I imagine that the gateway just jolted some old transformation genes hidden deep in its DNA from all the transformations it's done in the past.
I really enjoyed drawing the transformation varieties.
