OCGS: Karina, Tracy, Jannah & Reggie
Been a while since the last OC group shot, right? This time, however, instead of two guys and two girls, for some reason I decided to introduce three and a half girls and a half guy, to say so.😋
First, an old face dating back from my dA cast: Karina Yagova the Slavic polar bear. Her revamped self is a 36-year-old former astronaut who uses all her tech expertise for her own profit, often combined with her flawless strength from her rookie mixed martial artist days (before joining the Russian space program). Personality wise she's changed as well - more of a chill, unshakeable, smug, sarcastic kind. She can often be seen exchanging favors with the rest of the cast, specially the justicers from Chuck's circles, when not teaming with them on whatever oddjob they're engaged with, just for the sake of making a difference and overcoming oppressors (specially when such oppressors are American :D).
Fresh from the drawing board fountain, please welcome Tracy Nakagawa, a Japanese-American catfish teen who loves to act like a cat - much to the disapproval of her ichthyo sapiens peers who claims she should be more proud of her fish roots, but what to do when cats are a lot more influential generally (Home Heroes lore related to anthro roles in society). Her friends and acquaintances say nothing can dampen her spirits, so she's hugely regarded as one of the most (if not THE most) mood lifters around. Despite being a skillful adventurer and prominent fighter, she does prefer to avoid any turmoils and solve her or her friends' imbroglios in the most simple, peaceful and agreeable way as possible. That, however, is quite contradicting with the 'scornful heel' attitude she tends to show when solving things the opposite way.
Moving to the other returning OC, in the few occasions she was featured back in my dA gallery she was known as 'Jade'; now that I named another OC like that, she's now Jannah Moussaif but still an Arab lioness, and truly a living encyclopedia on the holistic powers of stones and crystals (more incoming Home Heroes lore): more than their healing properties, the mystic sorceress knows every mineral's hidden properties, such as their mana or ethereal concentration levels. Therefore, be it to cure a case of anaemia, craft a wizard's staff or open/seal a portal to the netherworlds, Jannah is your girl. With spellcasting talents and responsibility like hers, who needs guns or melee weapons? ;D
Speaking of weapons, last but not least we have a former incarnate mass destruction one, collector of many fearmongering aliases such as "Lt. Force of Nature", "Mr.-Moves-Like-A-Butterfly-Stings-Like-A-Sidewinder", "the Navy SEALs' 'butterfly effect' incarnation" or "the American Attila". Born 'Reginald', Regina 'Reggie' Newman was born to be the greatest warlord The West has ever seen - and what's most, conveniently in form of a swallowtail. Having the most viciously violent, borderline souless one man army wrapped in a rather inoffensive looking species seemed to be the perfect package to drop enemy suspicions to a minimum. In fact, it worked in every operation 'Reginald' took part of, as he'd keep collecting bodies and medals coming back from triumphant campaign after triumphant campaign. However, inside that medal-clad awarded chest a bamboozled heart would pump stronger and harder in anxiety every time he'd feel he was living a big fat lie, desperate to be freed from the jail such facade trapped it in. At one point, an ingeniously crafted fake death during an assault at an uprising small country was the perfect escape route for 'Reginald' to leave his days of "super-duper-ultra-macho-man war machine hero" behind. Ready to be who now she always wanted to be, Reggie successfully sneaked under the radars and started a new, happy life in the fictional midwestern state of Algonkee (previously mentioned in this gallery a number of times, as it's the main scenario for this new "HH" iteration). Worth mentioning, though, all her soldier skills still there, and some of her new friends knows about it, like a certain justicer doggo who out and about tries to negotiate to assign righteous goals to them - Reggie do abide to that, just not all the time.
Same like last time: as soon as new opportunities to showcase them comes I'll be sure to share here. ;p
