Art Summary 2025
Ay look at that I'm actually on time for this.
Remember when I said I didn't have high hopes for 2025? Well haha glad I said it because holy fuck. Obviously, I'll go over what happened each month.
January saw my job continuing to get worse as my boss continued to cut my hours constantly. It got to the point where I had to ask her why through the GroupMe DMs, where she finally gave me a reason for her actions, which is about as ridiculous as you expected from someone who's practically the same age as me. She didn't like the idea of me not accepting call-ins even though I have had my reasons for doing so. At one point she tried to call me in on the day I had to take my cat to the vet for shots. Eventually, she did improve upon my hours and for a brief while things were good again. It was also the month where my older stepbrother and his wife had their baby.
February was my birthday month. Not much to be said here, but I turned 21 and bought a lot of stuff with my birthday money. All but 1 were video games.
My boss began cutting my hours again in March and this time she never stated why. She kept ghosting me while getting on to her crew for the littlest things, all while having the most broken grammer I have seen from someone. By that point I was fed up with her. My parents have been begging me to quit my job because it was not getting any better, and it got to the point where I lost my shit and punched a hole in the wall in my mom's art room. Luckily I had the funds to patch the hole up but now there's a white patch on the light green wall.
But the straw that broke the camel's back was on the first of April when she didn't even bother scheduling me any hours, which made me decide it was finally time to leave. Doing so took a huge dive in my mentality, as I was really upset with no longer having a job.
May wasn't really much of an improvment. We did go out of state for a family reunion which was pretty fun, but nothing else really came out of it.
Nothing interesting happened in June.
I managed to come across a survey app in July that allows you to make 5 dollars for every 5 surveys which is how I've been able to make money without a job. Other than that, nothing else interesting happened.
August saw my Mom starting a new job as a full-time teacher at the high school I went to. Ironically, she's teaching in the same classroom one of my computer teachers use to have before she moved to a new room. August also saw my GameCube I bought 5 years ago no longer reading discs.
September started out rough, but things got better. That month I learned that Zoloft actually does in fact help you have a clearer mind, and that not taking it was a contributing factor for not being in the best mood. This is especially helpful when you're learning how to drive like me, who was going under the speed limit and ran through a stop sign. It's a miracle I didn't get pulled over.
October was the spooky month. Despite not having much, I was able to get some supplies for the year and pass out candy to kids. It started out slow but it picked up fast and I ran out of candy about 90 minutes in. I made my own Clancy Gilroy mask using paper plates and markers and wore that during that time. October also saw my Xbox 360 red ring, which was unfortunate.
November saw my little stepbrother move in due to conflicts with his parents. I've also learned earlier that he also has a new girlfriend, who has been visiting here since the move. At the beginning of the month, me and Dad took the dogs to the vet and we had to pay around $700 dollars worth of medicine. Because it took a pretty good chunk of money out of my savings, my dad decided to let me spend the rest of my savings as long as I kept at least $40 in it, later changed to $100. I decided to use it to buy a new Xbox 360 off of Mercari, which thankfully worked perfectly.
And finally December, which unironically was the best month of the year. We went out of state again for Christmas, which I got some colored pencils as well as a $50 check from my Grandma. I used the check, as well as the $100 I got from my parents to open a new bank account, and then I used those funds to buy myself a new GameCube off of eBay. I also bought presents which I think despite my limitations I did pretty well. I bought my Mom the Blu-Rays of The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Eclipse, the third volume of Batman: The Animated Series on DVD as well as a hand me down Xbox 360 250GB HDD from my little stepbrother's dead Xbox 360 for Dad, some Hazbin Hotel plushies, Alien on DVD, and the Blu-Ray of Jujutsu Kaisen's part one of the second season for my brother, the DVD of said anime for my little stepbrother, the fifth and sixth seasons of Dragon Ball Z on DVD for my older stepbrother, the second and third seasons of Adventure Time on DVD for his wife, some Elmo's World DVDs for their son, a customized food bowl for Bun Vin, Deadpool 2 and Deadpool and Wolverine for a friend of mine, a USB DVD player for their younger brother, and a $25 PlayStation gift card for their older brother.
And with that 2025 finally rots into a shriveled up corpse like it deserves. Honestly, I'm really hoping that next year I can get back up on my feet with a new job, a license, a vehicle, and hopefully possibly moving out. But I think a new job should be enough for me at least.
I made my own template this time, and I will probably do so for the forseeable future. See you all next year!
